Information on Bees
We need bees! by K. L.
We really need bees! Bees are essential pollinators to many many plants, and help plants reproduce. Honeybees are known for living in large colonies. But, over 90% live alone. They nest and live alone. In the summer, worker bees live up to 5 to 6 weeks. Solitary bees (meaning bees that live alone) baby bees or larvae, develop in specialized cells in the hive and get fed by the adult bees. Bees make their hive in a hexagonal shape made from wax. Bees have four wings, six legs and five eyes. This is some information about the bees. Bye!
All About Bees by O.F.
Bees are essential pollinators with over 20,000 species worldwide. They can be tiny or large, and they have fuzzy, yellow and black striped bodies, six legs, and two pairs of wings. They have 5 eyes, 2 stomachs, and brain power so strong that they can recognize humans.
They have specialized hairs on their bodies, so they are great at carrying pollen. They actually are responsible for pollinating about 1 third of the food we eat! Bees pollinate flowers primarily as an accident from their search for food, so the plant can reproduce while the bee gets a meal.
